Manage Stress

Hi, this is Harriet and welcome to the Happy Minute. Stress. Last time we spoke about the idea of good stress, but when we think of stress, we really think of the negative aspects of it. Anxiety, the pressure, the overload. But as we said last time, we need stress. Our body needs stress for the fight and flight response to survive. So the key to stress on a daily basis, on a long-term basis, which is clearly inevitable in our lives, is manage. How do we manage our stress? Manage with a capital M? That’s the key. By making certain choices, by prioritizing, by self-care, by coping skills. These are obviously the general aspects and ways of managing our stress, but that is really the key. We don’t fix it; we minimize it and manage.
